Due to high demand and production, we have a set of in-house and contract tailors. Our contract tailors are required to match certain guidelines to be able to work with us. We ensure fine quality stitching for which we hire the best craftsmen at a fair price.
With the advantage of our warehousing facility, we are able to stock regular, seasonal and high-demand fabrics, ensuring all our customer needs are met. This works really well for repeat orders or especially in cases such as – clients who want the same thing they made five years ago, again. Besides stocking fabrics for our clients who make clothing out of them, we also supply these fabrics to different stores and business. Our services also include sourcing fabrics to suit a particular need or meet a large order of uniforms, event jackets and more.
With the advantage of our warehousing facility, we are Did you know our name cards are printed on recycled paper? Forgive us if we choose to share our contact digitally, or tell you to like us on Facebook or connect with you on WhatsApp instead of sharing our business card. We have switched to using business cards made of recycled paper and after having done so we realize the following: It’s better to not use paper at all as nowadays, everyone likes to save contact on their phones or in other digital forms anyway. Besides, being a faster way of communication, it’s also convenient to recall the contact on a digital platform. Recycled paper cards are more expensive than regular cards - to reduce our costs, we’d love to have you get in-touch with us on free connect points like our website, social media or our email. Going ecofriendly costs us a little more but it has been offset by our encouraging customers who support us in this direction and choose to connect with us online.
Compared to our previous years, we have reduced our paper based work by 40%. You must be wondering how we measured our reduction, well its really simple as we place an order of all our papers from Office Mate in Thailand and we had requested them to conduct a comparison on our purchase behavior over the past 2 years. Yes, we took an effort to measure our consumption behavior and we encourage you to do the same. The shift hasn’t been easy but we understand that nothing comes easy. In our endeavor to be more eco-friendly and by following suggestions & tips of some knowledgeable clients, we have reduce our paper usage by 40%. And we are very proud of this!
We use more of digital platforms for internal and external communications. For example: Increased usage of chat-apps for internal team communication and e-brochures, e-invoices/receipt for external communication. Our database - old order-books and paper-based records - has been migrated to the digital platform. With it has come its advantages of accuracy, consistency and convenience and speed. Yes the migration was a task but we are happy with our new system. We are also proud of the hundreds of paper that we are saving every month now.
Usage of recycled paper has become the norm at our store. We are printing only what’s needed, on both sides and re-using any printed paper with blank back side. These system changes took a while to be inculcated into our habits but nevertheless, they are part of our work-life now. Change is the only constant, and although it can be inconvenient to adapt to a change, it’s the only way forward - we live by this philosophy. We understand that climate change and global warming is a serious issue, and we’d keep improving in our ways of business to promote Earth first.
In H2 2019, we will be starting to use eco-friendly & reusable bags instead of using regular paper-based bags. We understand that our environment is a real concern and we are working towards changing and improving our processes to better suit the urgent need of being eco-friendly.
